Quilters from all around Tyler, Texas gathered on March 10th to listen to one of the best in the industry as The Quilters Guild of East Texas invited Cecilia Brannon to their monthly meeting.

Cecelia Brannon, one of the most talented quilters, spoke to members of the Quilters Guild of East Texas during their monthly meeting of the guild, located at the First Baptist Church-South Campus on March 10th. Taking part in in the demonstration, quilting hobbyists from all over Texas joined members of Tyler's Quilters Guild of East Texas. Insightful tips on how to work quicker were learned by everyone in attendance.
Recognized as a power quilter, Cecilia Brannon is a seasoned member of the guild. She showed a program that was packed with enthusiasm and high joy. A talented quilter, she has an impressive array of quits and with her “can do” attitude and enthusiasm, she impressed the crowd. Utilizing a number of quilting fabric, she covered different tricks and was able to address some of the concerns of the people in attendance.

Cecelia, known for being a quilting master, quilts from home and, during the gathering she discussed her time saving tips which are “designed to empower and encourage” everyone to “to get those quilts quilted”. She invests time and dedication into her quilts, making them a template for all quilters out there trying to improve their methods.
Later donated to cancer patients, most of the members of the group remained in after the gathering and stuffed pillows. Bought from a local textile manufacturer, the American Cancer Society donated the supplies.
Ms. Brannon shared her knowledge ab quilting, and influenced others to take inspiration from her insight, using it to improve their own crafts and designs. Utilizing quality fabric is substantially helpful in the manufacturing of your own quilts, but technique has a lot to do with it as well. As she showed her own designs and provided many helpful tricks, Ms. Brannon's energetic and passionate position on quilting was enjoyed by the attendees.
The hobby of quilting is being reenergized, just as scrapbooking was a couple of ago, gaining the attention of hobbyists everywhere. The dedication and patient nature of quilting is relaxing and allows for the designer to take their time without becoming bored.
Quilting is an art form that is full of history and tradition; it's about family and giving, providing comfort and warmth for people you care about. Quilting is a thing you do with purpose in mind and a lot of care goes into the craft. You keep it for life, a quilt is a thing where the memory of the effort the quilter put into it, when they made it just for you stays with it.
