Additional Craft Information:

Sending our graduation cards is a big puzzle to most. They would ask what these cards are for and why send them out in the first place? These cards are actually pretty useful to give out as a form of congratulations to the graduates. These cards are commonly given not only by friends and family, but also by teachers and even by the school itself to congratulate the graduates and wish them the best with the new chapter of their lives. Some graduates also give these cards out as invitations to their graduation party to their collogues, friends, family and teacher.

DIY Craft Essential #1: Washi tape

You'd be surprised at how many things you can do, and how many tutorials out there are obsessed, with washi tape. The versatile paper tape with adorable designs makes great wall decor, paper crafts or can even spruce up your furniture.

DIY Craft Essential #2: Needle nose pliers

This tiny tool is great for small projects. "This is not only your go-to tool for opening and closing jump rings, bending wire, and securing crimp beads and ribbon ends, but pliers are also great for cutting through jewelry chain and wire," said Morin.

The main purpose of graduation cards is to applaud and congratulate the celebrants. Many schools give out these graduation cards along with the graduation's program and diplomas. It's a way of the school to say “thank you and the best of luck” to their graduates. Many friends and family members also give these cards out to show their love and support. They are a big help especially if family members and friends are in another state or are across the country and cannot attend the celebration. Mailing these cards to a family or friends who are far away is a nice surprised. Some students even exchange these cards with their classmates as remembrance and keepsakes which they take to college with them.

DIY Craft Essential #3: X-acto knife

If you love stationary crafts, jewelry crafts or any delicate work -- you'll need a proper cutting tool. Not all scissors can do the job. "Remember first using scissors and cutting along the dotted lines in grade school?" Morin asked. "Hopefully, you’re attempting more challenging crafts as an adults."

DIY Craft Essential #4: Spray paint

Acrylic paints are also great for any DIY starter kit. However, if you're looking for a perfect, seamless finish on your furniture, art and home decor -- make some space to spray. It doesn't hurt to keep some cans in your favorite colors (as long as you store them properly).

One way to get these graduation cards is to buy readymade ones. However, there is nothing really special about these and they can be to generic at times. If you want to make the card more special and meaningful, make a custom-made card. You can make your own graduation and congratulations cards on-line with card makes. These card makers can be found in sites that have designs and templates for greeting cards and invitations.

Once you choose a design, the site lets you change the details such as the color, text and message and the font and font size of the graduation cards. Write a simple message to the person you're giving it to. Some sites also let you upload photos so you can make photo greeting cards. After making the card, you can download in and print it out. You do not need to have a special, expensive printer to print the card. you can just use your home or office printer and you'll get a beautiful result. To make the graduation cards more special, use special paper when you are printing out the cards.

DIY Craft Essential #5: Painter's tape

Painter's tape is "perfect for for attempting the color block trend," said Morin. Plus, you'll need something to keep your projects neat and tidy, no matter what type of paints you use.

DIY Craft Essential #6: Hot glue gun

There are some tools that are too functional not to have. "This is one DIY workhorse tool you shouldn't do without," said Morin. Hot melt glue works on a variety of materials.
